Our mission is to help you engage in and share your education research

The Higher Education Research Group of Adelaide as founded in 1994 and has run a conference every possible year since. The community is over 1000 people strong and engages in activities to support research nationally and internationally with a focus on South Australia.

The call for papers for HERGA 2026 is now open. The conference will run on Sept 30th at Adelaide University City East Campus in the Lower Napier wing. Registration will open later this month.

This years theme is Transition, Technology and Trust

Subthemes are

Key Dates

  • The call for papers closes June 30, 2026

  • Reviews submitted July 31, 2026

  • Decisions August 14, 2026

  • The conference will be held at Adelaide University, City East campus on September 30, 2026

Submissions require

  • A title

  • A selection of the subtheme being addressed

  • A 350 word abstract (including references) with direct links to the literature on your topic. The best way to address this is via the use of 2-3 in-text references

We welcome student submissions and will provide additional support for these submissions

We are looking for reviewers for this year's conference. If you would like to spend an hour supporting the conference and review 5 abstracts please contact our reviewer lead and express your interest.
