CALL FOR PAPERS
THEME: Bend or Break: flexible institutions, teachers and students
With significant changes over the last 10 years, universities have found it necessary to take a close look at the way they do business. Students have also been selective in their engagement with their institutions, with reduced attendance and greater use of technology and increasing work pressures. In the middle of this, the staff who are responsible for learning activities have had to adapt; often becoming more flexible in their approaches to assessment, attendance, and teaching approaches. At this conference we ask “What are the challenges for flexible teaching and learning for the universities, for academics and for the learners?”
Papers addressing the following themes will be considered for the conference
- Students as partners in teaching and learning
- The role of technology
- Online, blended, flipped and distance education
- MOOCs
- Transitioning into Higher Education
- Flexible assessment
- Personalised learning
- Digital literacies
- Learning spaces
- Learning analytics
- Work related learning
